Born in Flühli, in the canton of Lucerne, Pascale Schnider is a Swiss runner who has excelled both on the road and on the track. Her qualities as a runner, her endurance, and her versatility allow her to build an impressive national and international record.
On the track, she became the European U23 champion in the scratch in 2005. At the same championships, she won the bronze medal in the individual pursuit, before becoming the U23 European vice-champion in this discipline in 2006.

Omer Shapira is among the leading representatives of Israeli women's cycling. Climber and offensive racer, she stands out for her endurance, her rolling skills, and her willingness to provoke the race with long breakaways.
After several national podiums, she became the Israeli road champion for the first time in 2017. She then retains her title for five more years, winning six consecutive championships between 2017 and 2022. She also becomes the national time trial champion in 2020 and 2022.
During the Tokyo Olympics, held in 2021, she animated the road race with a long breakaway. Caught in the final kilometres after having long occupied the top positions, she finishes in 24th place. A few days later, she finished 15th in the Olympic time trial.
